Surfside
Hawaii, Inc. was organized in 1964 as the distributor in the State of
Hawaii for Capitol Records. In 1968 the company formed Lehua Records and
followed that with the acquisition of the master tapes of Mahalo
Records, Makaha Records, and Sounds of Hawaii Records. In 1977 Surfside
Hawaii expanded into the retail business with the purchase of the House
of Music stores and operated five (5) stores until they were sold in
1990.
Currently the company operates three (3) divisions including the record
division. Latrobe Vineyards was organized in 1983 to grow wine grapes
with seven (7) acres of Sauvignon Blanc and five (5) acres of Zinfandel
at Latrobe, California, 35 miles east of Sacramento on 40 acres of
company property.
In addition the company is an investor in real estate properties
